If so, here is some information that you should know.
If so, here is some information that you should know.
A representative from R&E Property Management DOES NOT need to be present when you move out. Once all of your possessions are removed from the home, simply do the following:
Gather all keys and any copies you might have made and leave them on the kitchen counter
Gather any garage door openers/remote controls and leave them on the kitchen counter
Place all garbage into the bins outside
Take a final walk through the home, checking all closets, drawers and cabinets to insure that all of your possessions have been collected
Contact the utility companies and have them change the billing back to R&E Property Management
If you are in a home with gas service, please be sure that all gas appliances are turned off
After your final inspection, exit through the garage and close the garage door using the keypad
Send a message to your representative from R&E Property Management, notifying them that the home is vacant
What happens next?
The R&E Property Management team will make a full inspection of the premises to insure there is no damage, nothing has been accidentally left behind by the tenant, and there are no issues with the home, as outlined in your original lease.
After the assessment of the home, your security deposit will be returned, less any expenses required to repair the property as outlined in your original lease.
